That is not all, there’s still plenty of opportunities to investigate in the area via other points of interest such as the Castle Gardens, Abbey Park, Watermead Park, and many other sightseeing locations including King Power Stadium, the city of Leicester’s football club.
If you’re not into sports, it’s okay, there’s still so much you can explore from King Richard III Visitors Centre to the National Space Centre. You can also visit the the Abbey Pumping Station, and even a variety of pubic houses and local cafes and restaurants offering local cuisine. Take a step back into the past and visit some of the shops as you go. You’ll appreciate the attention to detail that the many of the shop owners have managed to keep. If you’re shopping in the city centre, you can’t help miss the historic clock tower. Explore the many opportunities to step back into yesteryear and picture yourself amongst some of the wealthiest.
Be sure to wear comfortable foot-ware as you’ll be doing a lot of walking. Bring your camera, a picnic lunch, and plan on having a couple of days to explore all that this region has to offer you. You won’t regret this visit and you’ll create many wonderful memories as you ponder life in the 1600s.
